Integrity Beauty Tour 2011

Greetings, All! I just wanted to share with you my travels of the 2011 Integrity Beauty Tour which started on June 4, 2011 in Warren, Ohio! As the National Spokesperson for Integrity Beauty Women of Excellence Christian Women Network I am so honored and please to be your representative for this wonderful network! I started at the Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio where I sang the National Anthem. On Sunday morning June 5, 2011 I attended the Greater Apostolic Faith Church with Elder Phillip Shealy and First Lady Shealy the shepherds of the house of God then we went to the African American Festival in Downtown Warren in Warren, Ohio. Then had an impromptu photo shoot at the Warren Trumbull County Veteran’s Memorial Park. On June 9, 2011 Roberta Cykon and I went to the Alliance for Children and Families in Alliance, Ohio to do some community service. It is always an honor to service our communities to others who need our support and love.
The following week on June 10, 2011 I took a tour of the Sutliff Museum where they house the furnishings and collectables of Levi Sutliff who was a pioneer for the Abolitionists in Ohio. We had another impromptu photo shoot and I was able to also hold in my hand an actual 20 pound shackle that was on a male slave who was freed by Levi Sutliff who person got the shackle taken off the slave. What an amazing moment for me, an African-American woman, holding a shackle that was on a slave 100 years ago and today I am a National Spokesperson for a Christian network in America! While I was there I also got to take pictures with the portrait of our Lifetime Queen Helen L. Albert who was the 1st African American Registered Nurse in Trumbull County, Ohio. It is such a lovely portrait of her and I am so honor to where my crown in honor of her every time I make an appearance! The very next day on June 11, 2011 I got a chance to visit Helen L. Albert’s Museum solely dedicated to Mrs. Albert.
I was so blessed to meet her son, Frank Albert, who took me on a personal tour of the museum! I got to hold one of her awards and stand in front of her gazebo where Mrs. Albert used to pray and meditate to God. We later went to a famous hot dog spot called Hot Dog Shoppe where Timothy, one of the managers, personally waited on me, took a picture with me and gave me an autography T-shirt from the Hot Dog Shoppe that said, “The Lord Bless Integrity Beauty…Sing On! He blessed me greatly with those words! The chili cheese hot dog with cherry soda was GREAT! On that Sunday, June 12, 2011 I got the wonderful opportunity to do an in-store modeling appearance at Catherine’s Plus Sizes in Niles, Ohio where I told the customers information about Integrity Beauty as well as the hot new sales of the day! Good times were had by all!
A few days later on June 18, 2011 we had a photo shoot in Lke Erie, PA! I was so excited because I remember as a little girl in elementary school learning about the various lakes that we have in America and Lake Erie always stood out to me! I never imagined I would ever go there to do a photo shoot! LOL! Jennica Saddler, 2011 Integrity Beauty Women of Hope joined me on the photo shoot! Roberta Cykon, our Founder/Executive Director of Integrity Beauty Women of Excellence, was our photographer! She did an excellent job capturing us having a BLAST in Lake Erie, PA! We were excited to see that there was a children’s event going on at the same time of our shoot! Ashtabula County Longest Play Day is an annual event that they organize for children to get outside and PLAY! AMEN! This event promotes physical activity for children to get away from computer games and television as well as make new friends and live their lives outside! We had so much fun posing with the Kent State University Mascot and one of the Ashtabula City Council members who was one of the presenters on stage.
Next I got the awesome opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Mahoning Valley Scrappers Minor League Baseball Game in Niles, Ohio! I got to take pictures with Scrappy the mascot for the team who happen to be celebrating his 5th Birthday! I also got to take a picture with the Mayor of Warren Michael J. O’Brien! It was so cool to be able to do that for it has been a dream of mine to sing at a baseball or football game! Thanks to Roberta Cykon for setting that up and making one of my dreams come true! Thanks, Berta!
On my last schedule day of appearances I had one last photo shoot at the Warren County Amphitheater in Warren, Ohio where we took pictures by beautiful floral plants and on the seating of the amphitheater as well as the stage! There were a few passer Byers smiling while Roberta Cykon took my photos! It was so much fun! We later went to the 2011 Miss Trumbull County Fair Pageant at the Trumbull County Fair Grounds in Cortland, Ohio! I had the amazing opportunity to speak at the pageant and share about Integrity Beauty Women of Excellence with the audience! It was so nice and they have such lovely ladies who competed for the title! I was so blessed and honored to pose with Elaine Kelley and her royal court. After the pageant Roberta and I were treated like royalty by Mike Wilson, the Master of Ceremony of the Miss Trumbull County Fairgrounds Pageant, who gave us a grand tour of the Trumbull County Fairgrounds personally! I was so amazed at the many aspects of the Trumbull County Fairgrounds contests and areas set aside for all the participants yearly! We were treated to a Steak Burger which was delicious and Ohio’s world famous Lemon Shake! I neglected to mention the first time I actually had a Lemon Shake was at the Cortland Street Fair where Robert told me I had to try two things a Veggie Pizza from Pizza Joe’s and a Lemon Shake! I said, “A Lemon Shake? I don’t think milk and lemon go together!” Well what a Lemon Shake is lemonade shaken and not stirred and poured into a cup! LOL! Who knew!?! The Veggie Pizza at Pizza Joe’s was really tasty because they use a white sauce instead of red sauce! It just melts in your mouth and very cheesy! I digress…After we finished eating our Steak Burgers we got to see the horses, cows and I even got a chance to attend a “Pig Pageant!” LOL! Well, it was more of a competition for Best Pig/Hog! To end the wonderful time at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds we met a husband and wife name George and Mary who have a booth every year and their sole purpose is to help get souls saved by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ just by asking one simple question, “When you die do you know if you are going to Heaven or Hell?” Mike Wilson introduced me to George and instantly he said, “You are a minister!” I said, “Yes, I am!” And then he invited me to stand behind the booth and witness to the next person that comes to the stand. Talk about evangelism in action! So that’s exactly what I did and it was so awesome to meet three beautiful young teenage girls come to the booth and find out that they were already saved but they didn’t know why they were going to Heaven. I told them you are going to Heaven because you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and you believed it in you heart and confessed it with your mouth. Their eyes got big and huge smiled came on their faces! I challenged them to ask all of their friends the very same question, “If you were to die today do you know if you are going to Heaven or Hell?” We took pictures and they promised that they would ask their friends! God is so awesome and is doing awesome works! I had a magnificent time in Warren, Ohio and I will keep you all posted on the next newsletter where the 2011 Integrity Beauty Tour will travel to next!
Until next time I wish you Love, Peace and Beauty!
